Y'all this book was soo good and filled with so much scandal!! Nova was the first black home coming queen at this school was was integrated after hurricane Katrina and she ended up unalived. A white student named Tinsley was supposed to be queen as it was her family legacy that all the women were home coming queen. But when Nova won Tinsley was recorded on video saying she wished Nova was unalived. So then it was a whole scandal as Tinsley said she didn't do it and duchess who is Nova's best friend tries to uncover the truth. I also love how this book talks about racial injustices and the things that are going on between black people/ the justice system as well as the things that's going on with black people and the police forces. And it didn't help that Dutchess father was a police officer and everybody was looking to him to make some big change which was almost impossible for him to do because he was the only person of color who worked at the force. Yeah this book is filled with so much scandal from beginning to the end especially like when they uncover a secret relationship between a student and a teacher. This book had me entertained from the very first page to the very last page and also it has like an unexpected friendship that forms in this book as well. If you like the author Tiffany d Jackson's books then you would really like this book as well. Add it to your TBR this is a definite must read.
